In Loving Memory of Sultan al-Awliya Shaykh Abagadda (qs)–aka The Lion of East Africa and a Servant of Humanity

Shaykh Abagadda (QaddasAllahu Sirrah al aziz) was a revered Qadiri saint from Kenya, known for his Jalali presence, miraculous healing abilities, and profound service to humanity. As a powerful Wali of Allah in the Qadiriyya Tariqa, he carried the light of Shaykh Abdul Qadir al-Jilani (ra), healing thousands from spiritual ailments, physical diseases, and jinn afflictions—all by Divine permission.

But his service extended far beyond spiritual healing. Shaykh Abagadda was a man of deep compassion, dedicating his life to supporting orphans, widows, the poor, and the marginalized. Through regular sadaqa, food distribution, shelter initiatives, and social support, he became a source of hope for entire communities.

His blessed legacy continues even after his passing. The barakah of his presence lives on, and many still receive healing, support, and spiritual guidance through his memory and ongoing charitable efforts in his name.

May Allah sanctify his secret and elevate his station.

Ameen!

“And they give food, in spite of love for it, to the needy, the orphan, and the captive, saying, ‘We feed you only for the sake of Allah.’” (Surah Al-Insan, 76:8-9)

“The one who cares for an orphan and I will be together in Paradise like this.”

-Prophet Muhammad (Bukhari)

“When a person dies, all deeds come to an end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.” (Sahih Muslim)
